ERICA BODMAN has taken another big step on her quest to become an Olympian after being invited to next month’s GB Olympic Trials in Dorney.

The 24-year-old single sculler has already had an encouraging start to her 2012 season, as she set a personal best on a 5km ergo test last weekend, which was part of the trials process.

She has since received the opportunity to enter the invite-only team trials which take place between Thursday 8 and Sunday 11 March, something that Bodman, pictured, is delighted about after enjoying a strong January.

‘I am really pleased to be invited. It will be great to see where I am at the moment against some of the senior girls,’ she said.
