GUERNSEY FC are on the brink of welcoming Rhys Jordan into their playing ranks – as the buzz surrounding his arrival continues to grow.

Having represented his adopted country New Zealand in last summer’s Fifa Under-17 World Cup before returning to the island of his birth, Jordan, pictured, is yet to play a minute for the Lions after suffering a back injury.

But he has now recovered and participated in three full GFC training sessions, as well as making two brief substitute appearances for Sylvans in the past fortnight, something he is pleased about.

‘It is good to be back involved and, hopefully, I might be able to start for Sylvans this weekend,’ he said.
