Beckenham 15, Guernsey 51
GUERNSEY beat the weather as well as Beckenham to edge closer to leaders Chichester in London One South on Saturday.

Just three of the scheduled seven fixtures in the league survived the big freeze, although remarkably the four title contenders were all in action.

Guernsey were the major benefactors, though, as the only team out of that quartet to pick up a bonus-point victory.

‘Chichester kicked a penalty in the last minute of their game to beat Basingstoke 15-14 while Old Elthamians are now two points off us as they did not get a bonus at Portsmouth,’ said Guernsey coach Jordan Reynolds.

‘We were one of only a few teams to play, but it has effectively worked in our favour.’
