THE Guernsey table tennis A team delivered when it mattered most to retain their place in Bribar Women’s British League First Division.
The Sportingbet-sponsored trio of Kay Chivers, Dawn Morgan and Alice Loveridge went into the weekend in Doncaster fourth out of six teams on games difference, albeit level on points with the second-placed team.
Due to two teams getting relegated each season, the Sarnians had to maintain their fourth place in order to remain in the division.
This was challenging enough in itself, but Morgan had her own challenge as she was suffering with tennis elbow.
