Guernsey FC 4, Westfield 2
Saturday 11th February 2012, 5:49PM GMT.
GUERNSEY FC moved another step closer to winning the Combined Counties League Division One title after surviving a scare to win an entertaining encounter at Footes Lane.
In the only league game to take place due to the UK being snow-affected, Dom Heaume gave GFC the perfect start with an early strike, a lead which was doubled soon after by Ross Allen.
Substitute Dave Rihoy made it three after the half-time break, before strikes from Luke Beale and Tom Hegarty in quick succession saw Westfield pull it back to 3-2.
Rihoy got his second to seal GFC the game, a win that puts them 13 points clear of second-placed Bedfont Sports, who have two games in hand on GFC.
