SEVEN Guernsey Velo Club members went off to Wales over the weekend to ride the www.realteam.co.uk 25-mile time trial on the renowned Glynneath course near Hirwaun.

They coincided with quite good weather conditions to enable most of them to achieve personal best times.

The morning dawned damp after heavy overnight rain, but this had largely cleared by the time the event got under way at 9am.

Only real disappointment came for Allan Renyard, who suffered a ‘technical’ and managed only a 1-05-34 for the course.
