IT NEVER rains but it pours and at the moment it is bucketing down on Jordan Reynolds from a great height.

Just as the Guernsey coach was coming to terms with the news that he could be without Nick Barton for up to six months, the New Zealander’s replacement at No. 8 James Regnard has strained his medial ligament and will be out for four-to-six weeks.

It is just the latest in a catalogue of injuries to key men for Reynolds, who is also without Jason Batiste, Sam Stevens, Luke Sayer and possibly Darrin Bellingham for tomorrow’s trip to Gravesend.

‘The highlight is Tom Pool trained in our contact session on Tuesday and came through OK so out of all the misery there is a bit of a blessing in there,’ said Reynolds wryly.
