GUERNSEY FC withstood a strong fightback to edge out Hartley Wintney and return to the top of the CCL Premier Division table.

Two goals apiece from strikers Ross Allen and Dom Heaume opened up a 4-1 GFC lead at the Memorial Playing Fields, but Dan Brownlie’s goal for the home side was added to by a brace from Ryan Stephens to make it 4-3.

GFC also had to cope with having Ben Coulter sent off, but hung on for the three points.
