Lions back into second
Thursday 8th November 2012, 2:00PM GMT.
IT WILL be first against second as Guernsey FC prepare for this weekend’s blockbuster CCL Premier Division clash at Footes Lane.
That was confirmed last night after the Green Lions’ title rivals Badshot Lea won 2-0 at Colliers Wood United to retake their position at the summit of the league table.
GFC had led the way for 24 hours after their victory at Hartley Wintney, but now trail ‘The Baggies’ by two points, although they do have a game in hand.
Knowing that a win will take his side back top with a third of the season complete, GFC coach Tony Vance will hope to be able to recall some key players.
Sam Cochrane, pictured, is fit again after being ill for the midweek win, while Dave Rihoy and Chris Tardif are available, although Matt Loaring and Glyn Dyer are major fitness doubts.
