ADAM HARVEY impressed at the Surf Kayak and Waveski British Championships, earning a notable podium finish.

The 19-year-old Guernseyman is a former junior surf kayak world champion and is now making his mark on the senior tour, including this latest event in Wales.

While he finished down in fifth in the surf kayak section of the weekend, he improved to secure third place in the Waveski event, following a late flourish.

‘This is a very big event in the calendar against some big names, including the current world champion and a few ex-world champions,’ he said.

‘It was a very tough competition with everybody competing at a very high level, including some new and upcoming talent.’
