Babbe has lost none of his spark

ONE of the stalwarts of the Guernsey hockey team admits he has ‘unfinished business’ with the EH Trophy.
Mark Babbe has been involved in the island representative set-up on-and-off for 15 years, having made his debut back in 1997.
But the 33-year-old midfielder, pictured, missed out on the side’s successful run to Trophy glory in 2009 by being out of the island that year and that provides added motivation.
‘Each year I start now, I think that it may be my last, but then I realise I have got more left in me,’ he said.
‘But nobody ever knows how long their career will last. If a number of top-class youngsters come through, then you could be pushed out.
