Erith Town 3, Guernsey FC 4 (after extra-time)

GUERNSEY FC produced an astonishing comeback to knock Kent League team Erith Town out of the FA Vase at the second round stage in an eventful.

GFC fell 3-0 behind but the match was marred by a horrific injury to midfielder Ryan-Zico Black, who suffered a double leg break in the first half, an incident for which Erith’s Tyrus Gordon was sent off.

But with just 11min. remaining and GFC looking down and out, they hit back with goals from Jacques Isabelle, Alex Le Prevost and a last-gasp stoppage time leveller from Dave Rihoy to force extra-time.

And in the first period, Ross Allen completed the incredible turnaround, which puts GFC into the draw for the last-64, to take place on Monday.

    Firstly well done lads great result although i’m beginning to doubt the quality of the Press coverage. Should the report not have read GFC struggle to beat a 10 men!

    Amzaing comeback lads, showed true “donkey” spirit under very trying conditions.
    More importantly look forward to seeing Zico back ASAP. All the best for a quick recovery.

    @Laddo,

    Erith were a class act with eleven or ten players on the pitch. I think the GFC players did superbly well to even want to continue playing after the awful injury sustained to Ryan-Zico Black.

    I can walk and actually live in a tent so please get your facts right. Thats the problem with all you GFC fans you just dont know the facts or if you do you have complete ‘green out’ and are blinded by your naivety

    Sorry I underestimated your abilities :) I assumed you were being sarcastic about the injury to Ryan, if not then I apologise.

    Seen any games? I would bet very good money on the team (Erith) that GFC beat at the weekend comfortably beating any of the current Priaulx teams.

    Having said that I am very pleased to see that the GFA are going to take on board the expertise of the GFC team and try and move forward together. It can only be good for local football, which as we all know was going downhill pretty fast.
