Vance is not fazed

TONY VANCE has called for his midfielders – led by Kieran Mahon – to step up to the plate as Guernsey FC look to keep their CCL Premier Division title challenge on track.

Close rivals South Park are today’s visitors to Footes Lane and they face a GFC side deprived of the injured Ryan-Zico Black and Angus Mackay, as well as the travelling Ben Coulter.

It means a new-look central three will be deployed, almost certainly being Alex Le Prevost, Mahon, pictured, and Dom Heaume.

‘Having Zico and Gus sidelined are big blows because they are our catalysts and pivotal in midfield,’ explained coach Vance.

‘But we have more than enough quality to cope and fill those gaps, that is why it is important to have a strong squad.’
