STEVE SHARMAN has outlined a new GFA High Performance Player Pathway that will look to evolve youth football in Guernsey over the coming years.
Encompassing all players from minis up to under-21s in the new structure, new GFA high performance youth development director Sharman, pictured, believes it is essential for the local game to continue evolving.
‘We want to give young players on the island the best opportunities possible and in doing that, they are at the forefront of our minds,’ he said.
‘It is about keeping as many people in football as possible and all the way up this pathway – the enjoyment of players is something that should always run through it.
‘We want players of all ages to be going home and playing football with their mates, or looking forward to their next training session or match.’
