Tighten up or we’ll lose – Vance

TONY VANCE has issued a stark warning to his Guernsey FC side – tighten up or risk their FA Vase run coming to an abrupt end at the third-round stage.
GFC entertain high-flying Erith & Belvedere tomorrow, with the Kent League side averaging four goals a game and, like GFC, challenging for promotion from step five.
With no new injury worries, Vance will be hoping to avoid recent poor starts. GFC have fallen at least two goals behind twice in succession and conceded multiple goals in a game on eight occasions this season.
‘Looking at form, this should be an absolute cracker and it could well come down to how well they [Erith] punish our frailties,’ admitted Vance.
‘They are strong offensively and we have been leaving ourselves far too open recently, good sides will exploit that and we will be in real trouble.’

Vancey Vance is spot on. There was gaping holes all over the defence. I could have driven a car through the defence. The lads got to tighten up at the back.

Good luck to Vancey and the boys tomorrow. I represented Guernsey in defence and I wish the lads the best of luck
