GUERNSEY emphatically won the first senior inter-insular of the season, crushing Jersey 28-2 in the annual second team match played at the Rohais Halls.

The Sarnian team was a strong mixture of both experience and youth.

This was clearly seen in the men’s doubles section where GBA president James Domaille, who has been playing RSL for many years, teamed up with the youngest player and top island junior, 15-year-old Jordan Trebert as number one pair.

The second pair saw senior player Karl Abbotts combining with 16-year-old junior Luke Le Tissier, while the third pair was Danny Kampmann partnering recently returnee to the island, Tristan Lee.

The Caesarean visitors had quite a young team that was considerably weaker than their victorious team from 2011.
