GUERNSEY athletics will not be rushing to find a new development officer after it was confirmed over the weekend that Steve Green was departing the post after less than a year in the job.
‘Our athletics development officer has decided to return to the UK and we have agreed with Steve that he will leave his post over the Christmas period,’ said the sport’s governing body.
GIAAC president Alun Williams declined to go into details, but praised the former Jamaican Olympic runner for his efforts.
‘Steve joined us in the spring, and in the few months he has been with us he has made a significant contribution to the development of the club,’ he said.
