GUERNSEY FC can look back on a very satisfactory weekend when a CCL Premier Division point gained in a hard-earned 1-1 draw at Molesey strengthened their promotion position.

Although some fans may have seen it as two points dropped, results from elsewhere in the league ensured that Ross Allen’s strike meant a net gain for GFC.

Of the four expected title challengers, all were playing away and only South Park picked up a point, drawing 2-2 at Hanworth Villa.

But the best news of the day for the Green Lions was that the top two, Egham Town and Badshot Lea, both slipped up in high-scoring thrillers, at Croydon and Horley Town respectively.
