HEATHER WATSON has moved up two places in the world rankings.

The Guernsey star is now at a career-high 47th.

For the first time in more than 25 years, Great Britain has two players in the top 50 in the world with Watson’s good friend Laura Robson also making the cut at 50.

The pair were yesterday named in the Great Britain team to contest the Fed Cup Europe/Africa Zone Group I tie that will take place from 6-9 February at the Municipal Tennis Club in Eilat, Israel.
