Vale Rec 2, Belgrave Wanderers 1
GLENN LE TISSIER blew the Priaulx League title race wide open last night as he decided a dramatic top-of-the-table clash in Vale Rec’s favour and inflicted Bels’ first defeat of the season in the process.

Having missed a penalty moments earlier, Le Tissier made amends with his 80th-minute strike that completed a turnaround, after strike partner Sean Mills had cancelled out Simon Marley’s opener.

It puts Rec within five points of Bels at the summit, but the yellows have played three games fewer and their coach Carl Le Tissier could not hide his delight after the full-time whistle of a fiery encounter.

‘That win has put us right in this title race now and proved we are good enough to try and win it,’ he said.
