Pressure on Egham
Saturday 12th January 2013, 2:00PM GMT.
DESPITE their significant points advantage, Tony Vance believes that Egham Town have more riding on today’s crunch CCL Premier Division clash than Guernsey FC.
The Green Lions’ coach takes across a strong 14-man squad for the trip to the league leaders, that could go some way to deciding the league title.
But Vance, pictured, does not see it that way, especially with this still being only his side’s 18th game of 42. ‘This game is probably more important in giving one side bragging rights and perhaps a psychological advantage,’ he said.
‘But really, it is pretty irrelevant in terms of the overall season because our real test will come when we have so many games in a short period of time.’
