Vincenti brings some joy on another frustrating day

GUERNSEY FC’S fixture congestion has worsened after their match at Egham Town was called off just hours before the scheduled kick-off on Saturday.
The Green Lions had already travelled to the UK for the top-of-the-table CCL Premier Division clash against the league leaders, but were informed of the referee’s decision at around 12.45pm, ahead of the 3pm start.
It meant another costly setback for GFC, with the club left in the UK without a fixture for the first time, while the re-arranged match on Tuesday 26 February will likely further cost the club in the region of £4,500.
The decision came because the referee thought four areas of the Runnymede Stadium pitch unsafe, despite photos from spectators at the ground appearing to show little wrong with the surface.
As for Vance and his squad, they changed their plans en route to Egham by travelling down to watch the Npower League Two clash between Aldershot Town and Accrington Stanley.
