ADAM LANGLOIS stepped into the breach as illness sidelined Phil Ogier from the Sportingbet Guernsey A team’s crucial penultimate round of this winter’s British League.
Already without Garry Dodd, who is playing for a UK club in the Premier League, Ogier’s loss could have been a decisive blow to Guernsey’s chances of staying in Division One South.
But to their credit the team dug deep and with an important 4-4 draw against TTC Cornwall, the Sarnians stay two positions clear of the relegation zone with one weekend remaining.
‘That was a good result for us and I am pleased for Adam that he played such an important part,’ said GTTA president Derek Webb.
‘We want to stay at this level as it is important for our development.’
