Panthers 73, XTFL 54
THE Legis Basketball League champions looked intent on making a statement on Saturday – and they did just that.

Panthers won their fifth straight game in Legis Division One at Beau Sejour, seeing off second-placed XTFL with surprising ease for a top-of-the-table clash that had promised so much on paper.

However, on the wooden boards of the Sir John Loveridge Hall court, there was only ever going to be one winner once Pat Ogier’s men had forged ahead in the second quarter.

There were just two points between the sides after the opening 10 minutes after XTFL, who were decked out in a new light blue kit, eventually started to find their range having allowed the leaders to open a seven-point advantage early in the proceedings.
