GUERNSEY FC’s possible FA Vase trip to Wembley will have to continue on the road after being handed another potential away tie in the fifth round.

The Green Lions will face Rye United in the re-arranged fourth round match this weekend and the reward for the winners is a last-16 trip to either Ely City or Spalding United on Saturday 9 February.

Either tie would be a long trek for GFC, with Ely City based in Cambridgeshire and Spalding United in Lincolnshire.

Despite the potentially problematic travel arrangements, GFC forward Dom Heaume, pictured, is excited by the possibility – if his side can negotiate the East Sussex trip to Rye first.
