DOM HEAUME confirmed yesterday that the Green Lions’ fixture pile-up is going to make promotion a tough task this season.
GFC’s original trip to Farnham Town has been re-arranged for Tuesday 9 April, which will be part of a brutal spell of eight games in 16 days for the Green Lions – and things are set to get even worse.
Tonight’s postponed match at Colliers Wood United will now need a new date, while any more FA Vase wins will increase the workload in March and April, which already has 19 games pencilled in.
‘It is not an ideal situation playing so many games so quickly, but that is the way things have ended up and we will get on with it,’ said Heaume, pictured.

Ex northerner, why do you come on here and continue to be so negative all the time? Their is plenty of other reports that go up that you could comment on. How about the one discussing the future of local football? I’ve never seen any comment from you other than having a pop.

Comments such as ex-N’s should be deleted. It’s all too easy to post dead-end negative comments on these forums, any dunce can do that. Far harder to say something meaningful.
