MUM and aunt were smiling, while the Nerine coaching team were breathing a big sigh of relief after the club’s A side held on to beat Resolution IT in the netball ‘big one’ at Beau Sejour.

Jenny Jordan and twin Lorna Hall were instrumental at opposite ends of a damp and slippery court three, as Nerine A avenged their defeat at ‘Rezzers’ hands before Christmas to keep their hopes of a 10th straight Division One title very much alive.

Meanwhile, Kerri Brown, the Resolution IT GA and daughter of Hall, finished up on the losing side for the first time this season.

Brown’s team were chasing the game virtually the whole hour after the champions started quickly as they capitalised on their opponents’ makeshift mid-court line-up.
