AS another CCL Premier Division weekend bites the dust for GFC, there now seems a real threat of top players being forced to put GFC title or promotion considerations ahead of a Muratti cap.
It now seems likely that the Green Lions will have to play a CCL Premier Division double-header either side of the Muratti Vase final on the May Bank Holiday weekend. ‘I can’t say with total certainty, but there is every chance that Guernsey [FC] will have a game on that Saturday and possibly the Monday too,’ said the CCL fixture secretary, Alan Constable, pictured, yesterday.
With tomorrow’s scheduled CCL Premier Division match at Footes Lane against Chessington & Hook United confirmed as being off, the CCL will have at least two GFC home matches to re-arrange.
That means that assuming GFC do not reach the FA Vase final and unless the Muratti is moved back a week, Guernsey’s best players could face matches on Saturday 4, Sunday 5 and Monday 6 May.

So can anyone with any knowledge tell us forgotten fans what is happening at Footes Lane? It would appear to a bystander that quite simply nothing is being done by C&L to fix the situation. I do feel for Shane as I am sure he is as fed-up as anyone else about no games of football in the last two months.
