Sylvans 0, Vale Rec 1
IT WAS a tale of big penalty decisions at St Peter’s as Vale Rec ground out another crucial three points in their ongoing Priaulx League title challenge.

On this occasion, the visiting yellows were extremely fortunate to come away with a win against a Sylvans side that has twice given them tough examinations in recent weeks.

But at the end of a fractious encounter, captain Damien Larkin’s 39th-minute penalty was the difference, although even his coach Carl Le Tissier admitted the full-time whistle came as a relief.

‘Three points picked up – that is all I can really say about that one,’ the Rec boss said.
