Campbell injury bombshell

GUERNSEY Rugby Club could be without Blair Campbell for the rest of the season.
Their influential captain, pictured, injured his hamstring during last week’s defeat at Barnes and coach Jordan Reynolds believes that the best-case scenario will see Campbell return for the final match of the National Three London & South-East campaign at the earliest.
‘It’s at least six-to-eight weeks, so he is looking to come back for the Staines game [on 20 April],’ said an obviously disappointed Reynolds.
‘Hopefully he will get through that and be ready for the Siam.
‘It is just one of those things we have to deal with. There’s nothing you can do about it.’
After delivering that news, the coach then issued a rallying cry for the rest of his troops. ‘BC has always been leading the team on the field, but one person alone cannot do that job – a core of players have to lead,’ said Reynolds.
