THE second weekend of the Junior British League saw a more productive round of fixtures for Guernsey in Division 2a at Tipton Wolverhampton.
The Deutsche Bank-sponsored team of Alex Robinson and twins Joshua and Lawrence Stacey had been promoted to the division having finished joint top of Division Three last season.
Although the boys could not earn promotion out of the six-team division having had a bad first weekend in October, when they lost four and drew one, a much better performance saw a win and a couple of draws along with two defeats.
The weekend started against the leading team from the first round of matches, Rotherham Scorpions, who Guernsey pushed hard before succumbing to a narrow 4-2 defeat with Lawrence and Alex both picking up a rubber each.
