O’Connor makes local history with 811 score

AFTER reaching a historic local milestone, Tim O’Connor has already got his sights set on even greater things in tenpin bowling.

But for now, the 48-year-old is ‘on cloud nine’ after becoming the first Guernsey player ever to record an 800-point series, beating Chris Bellinger’s previous high score of 799.

O’Connor, pictured, had previously stated his desire to break the 800 mark after recording his third perfect 300 game and started off well on this particular occasion with a score of 255.

After then getting a maximum score for the fourth time in his life in the next game, he needed at least 245 points from his third and final game in order to reach the previously elusive milestone.
