NEIL SARRE took full advantage of Tom Scott’s absence as he rode a very solid trial to take the win in the experts’ class in the 10th trial of the season.

Ian Le Patourel clearly enjoyed his day, too, and placed in second place on a day when several gruelling sections were set out around Petit Bot, Icart and Saints Bay.

All told, weather conditions could not have been more perfect as 45 riders took to the slopes and the testing sections would force eight retirements as the land sapped their strength.

That said, the spectators were treated to an excellent display of riding in what was described as the toughest trial of the season so far and will certainly put the competitors in good stead for the club’s two-day event being held on 23-24 March.
