ISLAND cricket star Jeremy Frith, pictured, has become player-coach at the newly-merged Wanderers and Corinthians side, which will now play under the banner of 2mi Wanderers.

Frith’s arrival is a key element of the club’s plan as they strive to create and become the island’s first club with an official ‘clubmark status’.

It’s a challenge that excites him.

‘It was more about responsibility as far as the young players they have there and, having worked with them as Emerging Players, wanting to make sure they continue their development,’ he said.

‘That’s the motivation really.’
