FORMER Guernsey Press journalist Matt Nichols is making a habit of key interventions on behalf of Guernsey FC.

Last month he took to the ‘mic’ and commentated on the Green Lions’ victory at Spalding, the first time GFC fans watching on the internet had enjoyed audio description.

Today he will perform something even more important. He will drive down to Gatwick, pick up star defender Jamie Dodd, pictured, and drive him up to the Midlands in time for kick off and the biggest game in Guernsey FC’s history.

GFC boss Tony Vance is full of gratitude to the ex-pat supporter, and Dodd, pictured, for cutting short his break.
