GUERNSEY FC will get a second chance against Walsall Wood under the Footes Lane floodlights after a 0-0 stalemate in their FA Vase quarter-final on Saturday.
The home side had the better of the chances, with GFC goalkeeper Chris Tardif in inspired form, although Dave Rihoy could have won it for the Green Lions in extra-time.
It all means that the two sides will meet again on Saturday night, with a 7.45pm kick off, when a winner must be decided, with penalties if required.
‘The draw was probably the fair result on the day and if we had nicked that late winner, it would have been cruel on Walsall Wood,’ said GFC coach Tony Vance.
