BACK on her old patch with Kent Club, her new side, Sonia Grant gave the new-look Panthers the thumbs up.

Grant, still a fairly deadly shooter after finally shaking off injuries, had watched her new side be well beaten 53-31 by the Panthers A side at the Grammar School, the morning after Kent and Panthers B had fought out a thrilling 31-31 draw at Beau Sejour.

‘They have improved for sure,’ said Grant.

‘They seem to be a bit more comfortable playing under pressure.’

Apart from a sloppy five-minute period in the middle of the second quarter yesterday, Panthers A were always dominant against a side with a mixture of experience and youth.
