North add experience to the promise of youth

WHILE most are predicting a two-horse Priaulx League title race, North coach William Woodford insists that the pressure – and the tag of favourites – is firmly on Bels.
However, after making a number of signings ahead of his second season in charge, the chances of the Priaulx Cup coming back to Northfield are still significant in the eyes of their young coach.
‘With Bels being the defending league champions, they earned the right last season to be favourites for this season,’ he said.
‘That gives them a little bit of extra pressure that I’m sure they will deal with.
‘Our aims are to be competitive and challenging in every competition we are in.
‘We had a very young squad last season and we want to build on some of the styles we started to introduce last season and take them onto a higher level.
‘The league is obviously our main priority, but we will be very much treating every game, regardless of opposition, as one we want to win and in a manner that suits us as a team.
‘Also, we want to win in a manner that will continue to develop individuals and us as a team for greater success in the future.’
