Simpson tired of bum draws

CHRIS SIMPSON faces his own final at the start of the AJ Bell World Championship in Manchester next week.
The 26-year-old Guernseyman is currently enjoying his highest career ranking of 21st in the world, but the luck of the draw for the PSA’s biggest event of the year could have been much kinder.
Simpson faces ninth seed Borja Golan from Spain in the first round on Monday, with the reward for the winner being a second-round encounter with either Mexican world No. 42 Cesar Salazar or a qualifier.
‘It’s not the best draw, it’s a pretty tough one for the first round, but if I can get through, it opens the draw up in the second round,’ Simpson said.
‘My goal for the week would be to make the last 16 and that first-round match is like my final. If I win that, on paper the second round is easier.
