IN THEIR first season of weekend cricket, Corinthians captured the top prize IN THEIR first season of weekend cricket, Corinthians captured the top prize in the lower league game in the form of the Wave Telecom GCA Bowl on Sunday.

On a challenging wicket at the College Field, Corinthians skipper Pierre Blampied won an important toss and his four-pronged seam attack did not let him down.

The scoring rate rarely crept above three an over and the vaunted batting line-up of opponents St Saviour’s were mainly frustrated out.

Owen Brock was first to go, bowled behind his legs by a pearler from Jonny Orme, but the crucial wicket was that of Spencer Noyon in the final over before drinks, superbly caught by Mike Adkins running back from extra cover.
