GUERNSEY enjoyed the perfect weekend in Kuala Lumpur.

The Greens recorded two wins from their opening two games in the Pepsi ICC World Cricket League Division Six as both Jersey and Fiji suffered defeat at the hands of Stuart Le Prevost’s men, albeit in highly contrasting games.

The icing on the cake came with the news yesterday that Jersey’s match with Kuwait had been rained off and will be played today, giving Guernsey coach Andy Cornford the chance to scout their next opponents.

‘We are exactly where we wanted to be,’ said Cornford at the end of day two.
