GUERNSEY FC coach Tony Vance was in apologetic mood despite seeing his side claim another three points after a scrappy 2-0 victory over Feltham at Footes Lane.
However, on a day of mixed fortunes for those in green, Guernsey under-21s had earlier slipped to a 2-0 defeat in the Ambassadeur Bowl at the Track.
A brace from goal machine Ross Allen secured GFC’s success, aided by a man of the match performance from Angus Mackay, but Vance was far from happy with the overall display of his team in front of a record attendance of 1,752.
‘I am very disappointed really, especially considering the fantastic crowd that was here today,’ he said. ‘We were very flat and just didn’t really get going, which was a real shame for the people following us.’
