Tardif has his eyes on achieving the treble

WITH Guernsey FC getting ready for a manic start to 2013, Chris Tardif has admitted that a historic treble could well be the perfect way to sign off his career.
The 33-year-old former professional keeper has been first choice between the sticks for GFC since returning to the island, also securing his first Muratti winner’s medal back in May.
Although he has no set retirement date in mind, instead preferring to take things one season at a time, he readily acknowledges he is entering the tail end of a superb career.
‘To be honest, if GFC hadn’t come about I would have been long retired by now,’ he said.
‘But I have loved every minute of playing since I came back to the island, despite it being at a far lower level than I had ever played before.’
