Belgrave Wanderers 4, Rangers 3

CRAIG YOUNG rescued Bels and kept their Priaulx League title challenge on track with a dramatic 93rd-minute winner at the Track last night.

Having dominated for large parts of the game and having multiple chances to kill it off earlier, the leaders were ultimately thankful to Young’s hat-trick to save them from a monumental slip-up.

They had been cruising at 3-1 up, before substitute Dale Garland punished their waywardness with a quick-fire brace. Then Young had the final say for Bels by coolly rounding the Rangers keeper and sliding home.

With Bels keeper Rhys Gower taken to hospital with a nasty head cut in a last-gasp incident that saw team-mate Jamie Tolcher sent off, a game that had looked predictable most of the night was suddenly a cracker for the neutrals.
