THE likelihood of entering a UK league brings excitement to prospective Guernsey FC coach Tony Vance (pictured).

In the aftermath of the FA League Committee’s green light for GFC, Vance spoke of his aims for next season, potentially in the first division of the Combined Counties League.

‘I certainly think it is a level which we can compete well at,’ he said.

‘When I say compete, I do hope we can challenge for promotion because that is the ultimate aim.’
