Gilvear aims to be that man of steel

JORDAN GILVEAR is counting down the days until his dream becomes a reality after being signed up by rugby league giants Bradford Bulls.
The 17-year-old (pictured), who has lived in the island for five years having been brought up in Wales, has been offered an initial one-year academy contract with the Engage Super League club, which he will begin in November.
But as the teenager who can play either in the centre or on the wing explained, it is just the first step on a journey he believes will take him to the very top of the sport.
‘I have always dreamed of becoming a professional and thought I had the talent to do it from when I started playing the game at the age of 10,’ he said.
