AN EMPHATIC Guernsey victory belied the fact that these two rugby sides began the day with identical records in London One South.
A rampaging first-half display from the green-and-whites blew away the visitors, who barely threatened their opponents until the dying embers of Saturday’s match at Footes Lane.
The opening 40 minutes was as good as anything Guernsey have produced this season, with the intensity seriously high and the momentum virtually irresistible.
‘We did exactly what we set out to do,’ said player-coach Jordan Reynolds.
‘We starved them of whatever ball we could and by the second half, when they slowly were getting some front-foot ball, it was too late.’
