‘We will regroup’ says coach after Dorking defeat
Wednesday 25th September 2013, 12:16PM BST.
JORDAN REYNOLDS was left frustrated after Dorking – and a fussy referee – condemned Guernsey to their third successive National Three London and South-East defeat.
Despite being ahead twice and level at 14-14 at half-time, head coach Reynolds’ men were ‘hammered by the referee in the scrum’ in the second half and slipped to a 10-point reverse, 30-20.
Luke Sayer scored all of Guernsey’s points on the day, including two converted tries and two penalties, but it wasn’t enough to see his side move up from 12th of 14 teams in the early league table.
However, Reynolds was not too despondent.
‘There is a little bit of frustration because there were some interesting calls made throughout the game,’ he said.
‘Saying that, these things happen and is part of rugby, so we will regroup and move on.’
