A PAIR of Guernsey’s swimmers impressed over the weekend at the Commonwealth Youth Games in the Isle of Man.
Joshua Lewis and young sensation Kristina Neves (pictured) both reached multiple finals in the pool in Douglas and both came close to winning medals.
Lewis finished fifth in the men’s 100m breaststroke, his time of 1min. 7.12sec. less than a second behind South African Kurt Benjamin, who won the bronze medal.
The Sarnian was also close in the 200m distance in the same discipline, again finishing fifth, while he also reached a pair of other finals on the last day yesterday.
