TOM HOLLINGSWORTH and Courtney Butcher produced the fastest times of the day in the 200m backstroke event of the Specsavers Series hosted by the Beau Sejour Barracudas Swimming Club.
Hollingsworth (pictured) cruised in with a time of 2-13.01, while Butcher, swimming in the 12/13 age group, looked very strong as she recorded a lifetime best of 2-35.53.
In the 10-years age group young Louis Tostevin had his eye on Hollingsworth’s record of 2-59.78, set back in 1998.
Tostevin had an entered time of 3-03.07 and it looked as if it might just be possible. He looked strong throughout and touched in 3-00.61, close but just outside the 13-year-old mark.
